Murder mystery: Interactive online game.
The interactive offender profiling experience is a fun and challenging game. Watch the series of videos with clues, then decide what evidence you want to investigate next. This is done by following a series of videos on YouTube. Play alone or with friends as you decide what evidence to collect to help you solve a murder. You don’t need any experience to play, just a curious mind.
This is an ideal activity to play on your own, or during a game night with your friends or family. You could even team up and see who solves the murder first. The suggested minimum age is 13 although there are no gruesome pictures or details included. However, themes of domestic abuse and infidelity are included so viewer discretion is advised.
The whole game takes between 1 hour and 1 1/2 hours, although you can leave and come back to it if you need to. Simply find the last track played in your YouTube history tab.

You don’t need any previous experience to do these online events. Simply sit back, put the kettle on (or grab your favourite tipple!), and enjoy.
Where do I start?
You will be automatically redirected to the first video in the series from the payment page. You will watch a series of bitesize videos which start by describing the crime scene. This doesn’t include graphic images, but it might help you to narrow the search for suspects.
Decide which evidence to collect.
At the end of each video, you will have to decide which pieces of information to collect next. Click the next video in the series and it will automatically allow you to get the evidence or clue. .
What if I choose the wrong thing?
Don’t worry if you get something wrong or follow up on evidence that didn’t show anything new. You will always be given a chance to make the right choice the second time. If you arrest the wrong suspect, it tells you in the most comical way, then allows you to try again.
It’s the first time I saw a “video” game like this and thought the initial idea is pretty cool, so really well done and definitely a step in the right direction. I had a blast 😀
