Ted Bundy was an American serial killer who kidnapped, raped, and murdered numerous young women and girls during the 1970s and possibly earlier. After more than a decade of denials, he confessed to 30 homicides, committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978. His true victim total is unknown, and believed by some investigators to be higher.
There is a lot of information available on Ted Bundy, including a recent documentary which contained extracts from taped interviews he gave whilst on death row. These give us some insight into Bundy’s dark mind. Often when you closely examine their life before they killed there are often clues which may be the key to understanding why they killed.
Richard Huckle is a British man who raped and abused hundreds of children, mostly in Malaysia. Richard Huckle is one sick individual. Huckle was convicted of 71 counts of serious sexual assaults against children while posing as a teacher, photographer and Christian in Malaysia. That is no to say that he only committed that many. Authorities were able to find evidence for 91 incidents, all of which Huckle initially denied. He was eventually convicted for 71 of those offences, however, it is estimated that he had around 200 victims, possibly more.
The Moors murders were carried out by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley between 1963 and 1965, in and around Manchester, England. Their victims were five children aged between 10 and 17.
When Myra Hindley and Ian Brady were caught, they both pleaded not guilty and both gave evidence in their defence. This was a reflection of their arrogance and belief that they could actually get away with these crimes. Within just two hours a jury found Brady guilty of all three murders and Hindley guilty of two. As the death penalty for murder had been abolished while Brady and Hindley were held on remand, the judge passed the only sentence that the law allowed: life imprisonment. Brady was sentenced to three concurrent life sentences and Hindley was given two, plus a concurrent seven-year term for harbouring Brady in the knowledge that he had murdered John Kilbride.

Peter William Sutcliffe was born on 2nd June 1946. He is an English serial killer who was dubbed the “Yorkshire Ripper” by the press. In 1981 Sutcliffe was convicted of murdering 13 women and attempting to murder seven others. He was sentenced to 20 concurrent life sentences, which were converted to a whole life order in 2010.
Sutcliffe had regularly used the services of prostitutes in Leeds and Bradford. The majority of his victims had worked as prostitutes. Peter Sutcliffe is an interesting case because it was only after he was convicted he was diagnosed as having paranoid schizophrenia. Later, he was declared sane and moved to a prison.
He died in hospital on the morning of Friday 13th November 2020 of COVID 19.
